New B Corp standards in 2026

The year 2026 comes with new standards for B Corp and with more certified companies in Romania. The community of companies that believe in business with social impact is growing in Romania, following the global trend.

That’s why, if you are an already B Corp certified company or you are only interested in impact analysis, we have prepared the IMPACT STAR TOOLKIT workshop.

The seven categories of impact areas analyzed in the workshop are according to the new B Corp standards according to which companies will be certified starting in 2026, namely:

1. Purpose and stakeholder-oriented governance: Companies act in accordance with a well-defined purpose and integrate stakeholder-oriented governance into the decision-making process.
2. Fair Work: Companies provide good quality jobs and cultivate a positive organizational culture.
3. Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI): Companies have inclusive and diverse workplaces and contribute to just and equitable communities.
4. Human Rights: Companies treat people with dignity and respect their fundamental rights.
5. Climate action: Companies take action to tackle the climate crisis and its effects
6. Environmental Management and Circularity: Companies demonstrate environmental responsibility and contribute to the circular economy in their operations and value chain.
7. Public Affairs and Collective Action: Companies play a leading role in building a common understanding and implementing solutions for a fair, inclusive and regenerative economy.

The workshop sessions are moderated between 90-minutes and 3 hours, with the aim of:

• Learning the new B Corp requirements
• Identifying the relevant impact areas of the companies as well as the missing areas
• Outlining an action plan to implement the necessary notions step by step
